Making Your First Transformation
Ready to unlock the power of vocal transformation? Here's everything you need to know to get started.
Preparing Your Vocal in Your DAW
- Remove all effects (i.e. reverb, delay, chorus, distortion). Pitch correction (i.e. Autotune) can be applied before or after, but we suggest removing it and applying it afterwards.
- Export your solo vocal track (no harmonies or doubles)
- Begin the bounce from the start of a bar, that way it's easy to align when you drop the transformed vocal back in.
- Save the file in a supported format. We suggest MP3 to keep filesize low - this won't affect your output quality.
Choose Your Voice Model
- Navigate to Tranform on the sidebar
- The artist browser opens by default, but you can click Browse Artists if you are on the Transform window.
- Listen to preview audio of different singers, and select an artist that matches your vision
- Click Select Artist to proceed to the transform page
Upload Your Vocal
- In the Input Audio section, click to upload your input vocal, or click record to make a direct recording with your device's microphone
- You will see an estimate of the credits that will be deducted for your transformation
- You can hit the Play button in the top right to listen to your selected input audio.
Adjust Your Settings
- Set appropriate pitch shift for your conversion
- Use the Sweetspot Analyzer to understand how you may need to shift the pitch of your input to match the model's range
- As an example, when converting male to female, you may need to shift an octave up (12 semitones) to sound good
Generate and Download
- Click the Generate button
- Wait for conversion to complete
- Preview the transformed result
- Download your converted file if satisfied
Back to Your DAW
- Import the transformed vocal
- Align it with your original vocal position
- Check the final result in context
Pro Tips
